Children of these days have spoilt!

I hear people, especially adults say these words a lot and I got thinking, who spoilt them? Can someone help me please, who or what spoilt the children of nowadays? You see ehn, when it comes to blaming or shifting responsibility to another person, it is one of the most convenient and comfortable thing to do......anything but taking responsibility! When a child is sexually abused, among the effects are these two: *he/she becomes secluded, abstain from people or anything representing the abuse. *he/she becomes indoctrinated into sexual act and start behaving inappropriately.....and if there is no intervention, he begins to get involved in sexual relationships early. that’s when you hear “omo yen ti baje, iranu lo n se kiri”(meaning that he is already rotten) Please who molest the child? Other things that parents do unknowingly which sexualise the child are: Playing music with sexual lyrics at children party or watching movies with sexual scenes or vulgar words. Buying inappropriate cloths for children, teenagers, especially girls. Living a double standard life, frolicking with side chick or side cork in the presence of the child. Giving smartphone with access data to children without any prior teaching or training and parental guidance. Not teaching appropriate sex education. Refusal to read any book on parenting, not attending training or classes on same. Parenting is a skill and it must be learnt. Our seemingly innocent actions and inactions coupled with the pressures of the 21st century, social media and all, children, especially teenagers are facing enormous pressure to engage in premarital sex, it is our duty to equip them with the skills to resist the urge, live a healthy and balanced life.
