It all boils down to the home...

Whatever behavior a child exhibits outside the home,to a large extent, it’s a reflection of the home he/she came from. Take for example, a boy was in the habit of saying vulgar words in school,.,,,always talking about breast and butts, on getting to his house, the TV is on African magic channel all the time,....he also had a laptop with access to 24 hours internet with no adult to monitor him... Some parents celebrates their children’s birthday, musics with lewd lyrics blasting from the speakers while they cheer on little girls who could whine their waist and twerk during dance competitions! I witnessed one recently when a song by Yemi Alade feat. Falz “Single n searching” was played at a child’s birthday party, a boy and girl was paired together to act out the song! It was an eye sore.... What of end of the year party in schools? They are not left out, no inspiring songs would be played....it’s all “Olodumare bless you with body o, Startboy will bless you with money o omoge...!” I was invited to a school sometimes ago on a valentine day to speak to the students on teens and love matters, the invited DJ had no single song appropriate for children on his lists.....it was all “show your booty, I gat money!” And the teachers and students all danced and sang along in unison! What exactly are we thinking? Yet, we are thesame set of people who would criticize and condemn these young ones when they get involved in sexual activities....isn’t that what we were grooming them for? Have you entered a teens church recently? You might mistaken some for a club house going by the way some of the girls are dressed! I had to challenge one teens leader sometimes ago in a big church and he said, “ma, what can we their teachers do when it’s either their mum or dad who dropped them before going to the adult church.?” The level of moral decadence in this age is gut churning and if we don’t rise up to the occasion and go back to the drawing table, we ain’t see anything yet! As a parent and you are on this table, please have a rethink, if you aren’t raising a porn star, why would you buy revealing short dresses for your child? What are your intentions really?
