Begin with the end in mind.

Begin with the end in mind.

Teens go through some devastating internal and external tussles which are connected together like a chain reaction.

It includes : hormonal changes, puberty, parental and peer pressure, identity crisis, academics, bullying, depression, abuse, career choices, etc.

Although most of these issues have been in existence from time immemorial, social media has amplified them.
Also, technological advancement has ensured that teens in this age are facing some challenges that the previous generation didn't experience.

The devil is bent on taking over the minds of the young generation by getting them involved in different vices subtly.

Ban codeine today, they improvised almost immediately with different types of unimaginable alternatives!

Barrister Taiwo Akinlami pointed out in one of his articles:
"There will never be a time in today's world where caregivers will be fully abreast of all the dangers our precious children will be exposed to........it is the preparation we make that will make all the difference"

Are you sure your child is fully prepared and equipped to face the challenges out there before you ship him/her to boarding house!

Absentee parents or ignorant ones predisposes the child to more unfavorable acts.

To provide solutions to the issues teens encounter, all hands must be on deck!

Parents, teachers and everyone who interfaces with them must have an informed knowledge of the symptoms and manifestation of the issues they go through in order to support and provide an empowering solution,...sadly enough, this seems like a rocket science in this part of the world!

Parents need to provide support for their teens, love them unconditionally, model good behaviors, among others.

Parents in conjunction with schools should allow students offer courses in sync with their passion and potentials, not just force a particular subject/course down their throat not minding their emotions.

Help them come to terms with their uniqueness, discover their purpose and support them as much as you have the capabilities, this way, they will focus on their studies and vocation as the case may be, and have less time for frivolities.

Children of today are the future, how well and great the future will be depends largely on how we train and nurture them and the value system we ingrain into this generation.....

....begin with the end in mind.
